Accessibility statement

GloLight Med Spa wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards, voice control, screen magnification or other assistive technology.

Our standard

We aim for this website to meet the WCAG 2.2 level AA guidelines. We check our work with automated testing tools and by using the site with a keyboard and at different screen sizes and zoom levels.

What we have done

• Everything can be used with a keyboard, with a clearly visible focus outline and a “Skip to main content” link.
• Pages use headings, landmarks and labels so that screen readers can announce the structure and purpose of each part.
• Text and controls have enough colour contrast, and information is never shown by colour alone.
• The layout adapts from small phones to large screens, and keeps working when text is enlarged or the page is zoomed to 400%.
• The booking and request forms have clear labels, describe errors in words next to the field and in a summary, and move your focus to the first problem.
• Photos have text descriptions. Nothing plays automatically or flashes, and animations are turned off if your device asks for reduced motion.
• You can always book without using the online calendar: by phone or by sending an email request.

Known limitations

• Map. The service-area map is provided by OpenStreetMap, which we do not control, so it may not be fully accessible. Our service area is described in text (Brampton, Ontario), and the exact address is given when you book.
• Assistive-technology testing. We have tested with automated tools, keyboard-only use and several screen sizes. Testing with screen readers such as NVDA, VoiceOver and TalkBack is planned, and we will fix any problems it finds.
• Photos. Image descriptions are brief. If you need more detail about a picture, please ask.
• Staff area. The private page that our staff use to manage appointments follows the same standard, but it is not intended for the public.
